The proposal also needs excavation, utility trenches, drainage, access protection, inspections, and restoration. Those parts should not appear late as surprises.

03 · Construction plan

Design the route as carefully as the rooms.

Crews need a safe path for demolition, soil removal, concrete, framing material, equipment, and daily cleanup. Tight side yards may change equipment and labor assumptions.

During planning, decide how the household keeps access, privacy, parking, and essential services while work is underway.

04 · Owner decisions

Set priorities before finish selections multiply.

Talk through long-term use, bedroom count, storage, laundry, accessibility, daylight, outdoor space, and maintenance. Then establish finish allowances that match those priorities.

A clear selection schedule keeps late decisions from interrupting inspections or ordering.
